Fair Practices Code
Adopted by the Board of Directors in line with RBI directions for Non-Banking Financial Companies.
Peristyle Securities & Finance Private Limited ("Peristyle") is committed to fair, transparent and responsible lending. This Code sets out the standards we follow in our dealings with every customer, including loans sourced through our Lending Service Provider, Tap4Credit.
1. Applications for loans
- All communication with borrowers is in English, Hindi or a language understood by the borrower.
- The application form lists the documents required and all information affecting the borrower's interest.
- Every application is acknowledged, and a decision is communicated within a reasonable time.
2. Loan appraisal and terms
- Each application is assessed on its merits, without discrimination on grounds of gender, caste, religion or disability.
- The sanction letter and Key Fact Statement state the amount sanctioned, rate of interest, method of application, APR, fees, penal charges and all other terms.
- The borrower's acceptance of these terms is recorded, and a copy of the loan agreement and all enclosures is provided at the time of sanction or disbursement.
- Penal charges, if any, are disclosed prominently in the KFS and are not capitalised or added to the rate of interest.
3. Disbursement and changes to terms
- Loans are disbursed directly into the borrower's bank account and never through a third-party or pool account.
- Notice is given of any change in terms, including interest rates and charges, which apply only prospectively.
- Recall or acceleration of payment is done only in accordance with the loan agreement.
- All securities are released on repayment of dues, subject to any legitimate right of set-off.
4. General
- We do not interfere in the affairs of the borrower except as provided in the loan agreement.
- We do not access the borrower's contacts, media or call logs, and collect data only with explicit consent.
- We do not use threatening, abusive or coercive methods of recovery. See our Recovery Agents page.
- No foreclosure charges or prepayment penalties are levied on floating-rate loans to individual borrowers.
5. Grievance redressal
The Board has put in place a grievance redressal mechanism. Complaints can be raised with our Grievance Redressal Officer, Dinkar Choudhary (dinkar.chaudhary@tap4credit.in, +91 91429 73123). If not resolved within 30 days, customers may approach the RBI Integrated Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in. Full details are on our Grievance Redressal page.
